Moonlight Song Cicada Earrings

Cicadas typically spend most of their lives underground maturing until they reach adulthood, where they mainly live high up on trees. Annual cicadas typically emerge from the ground around the summer months. Trust me, you will know when they are out and about because they are characterized by their distinctive humming song.

Typically, they "sing" during the day, but if it is particularly hot or if they're overcrowded you may hear their chorus at night - especially under a full moon. That is where this pair of earrings gets its name. I imagine these musical creatures illuminated by the moonlight as their song builds to a crescendo. These earrings were made so the colors shift from gold to green to blue and violet depending on the light in order to convey the magic they emit with their song.
